The St. Luke’s athletic department is pleased to announce its continued relationship with Bluestreak™ Sports Training for all Upper School spring sports athletes during distance learning.
Bluestreak™ worked with Storm athletes in the fall and winter, utilizing our facilities on the Hilltop and offering a variety of sport-specific workouts. The Stamford-based outfit, one of the leaders in athletic performance training, will pilot at-home workouts with our student-athletes using the mobile-friendly app PLT4M.
PLT4M is an online strength and conditioning platform that allows players to access their individualized programs, track results and progression, as well as watch video explanations of movements and exercises.
St. Luke’s athletes will have access to Bluestreak’s trainers to create individualized strength programs that will be sent straight to their devices. The trainers will also work alongside our Storm coaches to allow for continued development.
Bluestreak™ President Nate David said: “We are excited about helping St. Luke's student-athletes continue to pursue their training and fitness goals during this unprecedented time. We are working with SLS coaches to create a sport-specific strength and conditioning program to help athletes maintain their athleticism at home. We'll be customizing individual programs based on what is available in the house and specific training goals. PLT4M will allow us to post workouts, monitor athlete progress, upload instructional videos, modify the workouts when needed, and be a resource to individuals with questions on the program.”
