Visual Arts
See the World Differently. Create What You Imagine.
In bright, creative spaces, you learn to express your ideas with intention and heart. Along the way, you'll build confidence not just in your work, but in yourself.
In Middle School, you'll explore drawing, painting, sculpture, and collage as you discover what it means to think and see like an artist. In Upper School, you can go deeper, shape a portfolio, curate exhibits, and create work that’s personal, ambitious, and often gallery-ready.
Music
Discover Your Voice. Find Your Rhythm.
Music at SLS is a shared journey—open to all, rooted in collaboration, and built to grow with you. From vocal technique to global rhythms, you can build musical fluency through hands-on learning, rehearsal, and performance. Along the way, you’ll gain confidence, expand your musical vocabulary, and discover the joy of making music with others.
Blues Band Concert 2024
One of our most beloved traditions, Blues Band unites Middle and Upper School students (and faculty) for a high-energy concert full of soul, creativity, and camaraderie. From song selection to performance t-shirts, you and your bandmates shape every aspect of the show.
Theater
Tell the Story. Take the Stage.
SLS Theater is high-energy, collaborative, and award-winning. You can act, direct, design, and stage-manage across a packed calendar of classic, contemporary, and original works. With three seasonal shows in both Middle and Upper School (plus student-led productions), there’s always something in motion and countless ways to get involved.
Whether you’re rehearsing a scene, building a set, or calling cues backstage, you’ll learn to take creative risks, work as part of a team, and grow as both an artist and a leader. In recent years, SLS productions have earned more than 130 Halo Award nominations and 20 wins across acting, directing, design, and more.
