RICHARD WHITCOMB ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME NOMINATION FORM

The purpose of the Richard Whitcomb Athletic Hall of Fame is to honor and recognize athletes, teams, coaches and supporters who have demonstrated prowess in the field of athletics and in their support of St. Luke's School.

GENERAL CRITERIA

Nominees must exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and moral character. A person can qualify for the Richard Whitcomb Athletic Hall of Fame under one or more of the following categories:

1. Athlete - A St. Luke’s graduate who participated in St. Luke’s athletics for a minimum of 2 years, who earned a letter in a particular sport or sports. In addition, received "All-Conference/District/Sectional/State/New England/National Honors” if the recognition was available at that time. OR a St. Luke’s graduate who participated in St. Luke’s athletics and competed in college athletics or has attained a profession in athletics. The athlete must have been out of St. Luke’s School for a minimum of ten (10) years. Please note that the committee reserves the right, if desired, to place more emphasis on an athlete's accomplishments during their time as a student at St. Luke's than their collegiate or professional accomplishments.

2. Coach - Coaches at St. Luke’s School, past or present, with a minimum seven (7) years of service to the St. Luke’s School Athletic Department and St. Luke’s School community.

3. Team - A St. Luke’s School team which has attained record status or New England or National recognition and competed a minimum of (10) years prior.

4. Friend - Those who have provided meritorious service or served as a loyal friend to the athletic program.
