8th Grade Promotion Ceremony

V. Parker
It was the 8th graders turn to walk across the stage this week as they marked the end of their Middle School years at the St. Luke’s Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony. Head of Middle School Gareth Fancher and several Middle School teachers including Melissa Zurkowski, Kirsten Tobler, Jay Blau, Brinley Ehlers, Frank Henson, Chris Phelps and Susan Bralower reflected on the past and gave advice for the future. Ms. Bralower also shared a video montage she created that looked back on the students’ Middle School years.

The 8th Grade Girls Choir sang The Voice Within and the 8th Grade Boys Choir sang Man in the Mirror. Tradition continued with each 8th grader signing his or her handprint and receiving a certificate of promotion. The ceremony was followed by a reception in the Fireplace Commons and then the 8th Grade Dance.
