American Mathematics Competition 8

The American Mathematics Competition 8 (AMC 8) is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. The 2014-15 top score for SLS was a three-way tie between Andrew Gray ‘21, Hannah Amendola ‘19, Kenneth Lu ‘19. Second place went to Archer Goodwyn ‘21 and Jonathan Hobson ‘21 came in third place. Andrew and Archer also earned Certificates of Merit for their high scores as sixth graders.
