Lunch and Lead with Patricia Chadwick

VGP
The Center for Leadership’s Lunch & Lead series continued this week with Patricia Chadwick, President of Ravengate Partners LLC. About thirty Upper School students gathered in the Global Classroom to hear about Chadwick’s unconventional childhood and her successful thirty year career.

Chadwick grew up on a commune in Massachusetts with little knowledge of the outside world (no music, television, etc.).  At 18, she was asked to leave and had to forge her own path. Chadwick landed a job as a receptionist at an investment company where her hunger to learn and take on more work paid off. After nine years in night school, she earned her undergraduate degree. She eventually became an analyst. Later she served as a court expert witness throughout the Enron crisis.
In addition to her role as President of Ravengate Partners, Chadwick sits on the board of directors of Wisconsin Energy, Amica Mutual Insurance Company, VOYA Mutual Funds and The Royce Funds.

Chadwick spoke candidly about her journey from commune refugee to business leader. She stressed the importance of continuous growth and urged students to “find a job where you can learn and where you love what you're learning.”

Chadwick is parent to two St. Luke’s alumni: Caroline ‘12 and Jim Chadwick ‘12.
