Robots Rule Lunch & Lead With Dan Ueda

VGP
Robots were the hot topic at this week’s Center for Leadership’s Lunch & Lead with award-winning design engineer and educator Dan Ueda. As Associate Director of Education and Outreach at GRASP Lab at University of Pennsylvania, Ueda has spent years working in robotics and education. Through engaging videos, Ueda impressed the impact of robotics in our daily lives and shared some amazing innovations on the horizon. There were laughs throughout the Lunch & Lead too, especially during an entertaining video of a robot soccer match.

Ueda said colleges are seeking students who are “creators, developers and inventors.” Ueda encouraged students to participate in special programs, such as the hackathon, as a way to stand out when applying for college. Ueda also spent part of the day speaking with students one-on-one during designLab Director Michael Mitchell’s Electrical and Mechanical Design and Robotics classes.
