Quick-Witted Spring Plays on the Hilltop

VGP
May brought two quick-witted plays to the Hilltop. The Middle School started it off with its theatre production of This Is A Test. This chaotic comedy about a stressed-out student unprepared for an exam was skillfully executed by nine Middle School actors and was directed by Leo Mahler.

The next weekend, the Upper School presented the Tony award-winning musical Avenue Q: School Edition. Fifteen actors-turned-puppeteers helped tell the story of a college grad who moves into a shabby New York apartment in a way out place called Avenue Q. This witty show used satire to touched upon hot-button topics with humor and song. Jason Peck was the director, and Dale Griffa was the musical director. Several cast and crew members will bring Avenue Q: School Edition to the internationally acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe Festival in early August.

Congratulations to the casts, tech crews and faculty who made these two impressive productions possible.
