Nelson Brothers Continue To Set Records

Dan Clarke
St. Luke’s alumni Henry Nelson ‘11 and Charlie Nelson ‘13 have continued to set records since graduating from St. Luke's and have both enjoyed stellar college football careers.

Henry, who graduated from Colby College in 2015, enjoyed four seasons as a middle linebacker and lead the team in tackles all of those years. In his final season with the Mules, Henry had a total of 62 stops, had 1.5 tackles for loss, three pass break-ups and three quarterback hurries.

Charlie, who is a senior at Washington and Lee University, was voted the Generals’ offensive player of the year in 2015 which saw the team go 10-0, the school’s best record since the program started in 1890.

W & L were crowned 2015 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Champions thanks, in part, to Charlie’s efforts. He was the team's third-leading rusher with 755 yards and seven touchdowns on 119 carries.

Charlie was recently named as the starting Quarterback for the Generals this season.
