St. Luke’s Heads to Cornell for Model UN

Last weekend, St. Luke’s Model United Nations team traveled to Cornell University to compete against 57 schools. Thirteen St. Luke’s students joined more than 1,000 students to participate in mock committee sessions of the General Assembly and various specialized committees. They participated in historical crisis committees based on the Gulf War, Imperial Russia, Roman Republic, Zimbabwe Civil War, and the Egyptian Revolution of 2013. They also had the opportunity to hear a keynote address by the Chairman and CEO of Cambridge Global Capital Christopher Bancroft Burnham.

St. Luke’s students who participated in the Model UN included: Harper Boege ‘20, Kendall Boege ‘19, Nick DiCorpo ‘20, Ellie Haljun ‘19, Maddie Harris ‘19, Lucas Manocherian ‘20, Brody Menzies ‘20, Laura Mercedes ‘20, Ruth Mercedes ‘20, Mary Grace Thomas ‘19, Marco Volpitta ‘20, Chris Walsh ‘20, and Carolina Warneyd ‘19.
