Boys Basketball Remains Perfect In FAA With Win Over Rye

St. Luke’s Boys Varsity Basketball continued its unbeaten start to the FAA season on Tuesday, January 14, with a 66-62 win against Rye Country Day School.
The Storm improved to 5-0 in league play, with a hard-fought victory against the Wildcats inside Carey Gymnasium.
St. Luke’s was in full control of the contest after a dominant first half and went into the break with a 16-point lead. However, a spirited second-period performance from RCDS cut the deficit to just two points with 2:15 to play. The Storm managed to regroup and see out the game, improving to 7-3 overall on the season.
Gavin Greene ‘20 and Cole Bryant ‘20 both scored 15 points for the Storm with Chuck Clemons ‘20 adding 14. Sean Clemons ‘22 chipped in with eight points, and Lewis Cropper ‘21 scored six.
St. Luke’s Boys Varsity Basketball is back in action on Saturday, January 18, when the team travels to Millbrook School for a 1pm game. (Please note this game was originally scheduled for 1:30pm but has been moved up by 30 minutes). The Storm then hosts Brunswick School on Wednesday, January 22, before making the short trip to King School on Friday, January 24.
