SLS PA: Fireside Chat - "Life Worth Living"

ED
Parents were treated to a true St. Luke’s experience on Tuesday, April 12.

While a fire was no longer needed, parents gathered with Head of School Mark Davis and Center for Leadership Director Kate Parker-Burgard as they shared a taste of their Life Worth Living elective. Based on a very popular course by the same name at Yale, the class uses both world religions and secular philosophies to consider the question of what makes a life worth living. Mark and Kate shared their journey in teaching this class from inception to reality. They also engaged parents in some of the same exercises that students experience when considering what gives life meaning. These exercises led to enlightening conversations. It was an extraordinary evening for all, and as one might expect, we all left wishing we could register for the class ourselves!
