There is nothing like a caring community that shows up when you need them most. On Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, the St. Luke’s community showed up in force to a very special hockey game where we celebrated Teddy Balkind’s love of life, passion for hockey, and endlessly playful spirit.
Head of School Mary Halpin Carter welcomed the crowd saying: “It means so much to have this tremendous turnout of friends, of teammates, parents, teachers, and coaches—so many people here to join us. We are just delighted people made a special effort to be here at 8 pm on a school night.” Athletic Director Matt Ward reminded everyone that “Tonight is about fun, community, and remembering Teddy’s passion for a great game. So let’s play hockey!
