Tennis - Varsity Boys

The St. Luke’s varsity boy’s tennis team improved its overall record to 3-2 on Wednesday with a 6-1 win over Harvey School, a non-FAA match.
 
Playing at number one singles, Max Macey continued his dominant play with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Brent Feldman of Harvey who had not lost a match in two years – Max has yet to drop a set this season on his way to a 5-0 record.
 
For the second time this week, Gardner Tregellas, playing number two singles, gave up only one game in a match, defeating Bradley Rothschild 6-1, 6-0. Wiley Vehslage, playing number three singles, won by the same score, 6-1, 6-0 over Harvey’s Alec Roslin, and Will Bloomer closed out the singles sweep by beating Harry Solomon 7-5, 6-2.
 
At number one doubles, Clay Kontulis and Andrew Laub lost a 10-game pro set 10-6 to Roslin and Rothschild. At number two doubles the Vehslage brothers, Bailey and Henry, beat Brian Krosser and Jordan Fox 6-1, 6-4. And at number three doubles, the Storm’s team of Kamau Burton and Aidan Stone defeated Zack Schwartz and George Voeller in a pro set, 10-7.
