Strong Showing for SLS Junior at Hong Kong World Debate Championship

VGP
From Debate Coach, Abby Bielski:

Last week, Eliza Posner competed in the annual World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship hosted in Hong Kong. The championship consisted of five days of events and required students to interact and collaborate with like-minded peers from different cultural backgrounds and countries. Each participant competed in four different events: Debate, Impromptu Speaking, Persuasive or After Dinner Speaking, and Interpretive Reading.

Eliza represented St. Luke's brilliantly, exhibiting her confidence, poise, and intellect throughout the demanding tournament. She placed 17th with her Persuasive Speech based on the dangers of overwork and stress in modern society. Eliza had a strong showing in the three remaining categories as well, contributing to her impressive 20th place finish out of 130 students!
