Complete Student Profile
St. Luke's uses the Standard Application Online (SAO), a common application used by many independent schools. The first step is to Complete the Student Profile and submit your application fee. Fee waivers are available upon request.
St. Luke's school code is 6530.
Later in the process, you will use the SAO to submit Parent and Student Statements and to request recommendations and school records. -
Schedule Interviews
When the Office of Admission receives your SAO Student Profile, we will contact your family to schedule your interviews and optional campus tour. -
Submit Standardized Testing
For families applying to St. Luke's School, we have specific testing requirements based on the grade level of the applicant.Grades 5-6:- Students applying to grades 5 and 6 do not have a testing requirement.
- However, if applicants have test scores available, we encourage you to submit them as part of your application.
- Additionally, applicants to grades 5 and 6 will participate in a performance task on select dates.
Grades 7-12:- Test scores are required for students applying to grades 7 through 12.
- We prefer ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) or SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) scores.
- We will also accept other state standardized test scores.

Finalize your Application
The SAO Application must be submitted by December 15 to be considered for a Mid-February decision. Supporting materials such as Grades and Teacher recommendations are all requested and submitted through the SAO Portal and are due by January 15.
Parent Statement - short essay question responses from applicant parent(s)/guardian(s) December 15 Deadline

Graded Writing Sample - a graded writing sample from the current school year January 15 Deadline
Transcripts - full report card from the previous school year; any grades and comments available to date for the current school year January 15 Deadline
Recommendations - from the student's current English and math teachers, from a principal or guidance counselor, and from one personal source (such as a coach or activity leader) January 15 Deadline
Applications submitted after December 15 will be considered on a space-available basis. -
Apply for Tuition Assistance (optional)
Families requesting Tuition Assistance are asked to submit a Financial Aid Application using Clarity.
