College Athletics and Recruiting Information Session

On Monday, October 26 at 7:00pm, St. Luke's School will hold an information session for all families (students and parents) interested in learning more about college sports and the recruiting process.

Event Details:

Seldin Performing Arts Center - 7:00pm
  • Welcome and Introduction - Mike West (St. Luke's Director of Athletics)
  • Role and Philosophy of the NCAA - Aaron Hernandez (NCAA Assistant Director of Enforcement)
  • The College Perspective - Sue Willard (NCAA Athlete, Coach, and Hobart William & Smith Associate Director of Admissions)
  • Introduction of Breakout Session - Mike West

Breakout Sessions at 8:00pm
  • The Parent Perspective: SLS community members will share their experience with the college recruiting process with current parents.
  • The Alumni Perspective: Two SLS alumni will share their process for choosing a college where they could participate in collegiate athletes, and how that experience unfolded.
  • The College Process: Sue Willard and Sonia Bell will share their expertise on the process as it relates to playing sports at the next level.
We will have Aaron Hernandez (NCAA), a number of SLS varsity coaches, as well as athletic department personnel, available to answer questions.
