Girls Varsity Soccer Wins FAA Regular Season Title

As the Girls Varsity soccer team enters its last week of regular season play, they have an impressive 7-1 record in the Fairchester Athletic Association, and are 11-2 overall. The team’s match on Monday, November 2 at Convent of the Sacred Heart, resulted in a heart stopping 3-2 win where the team eked out two goals with less than four minutes remaining on the clock in order to capture a share of the FAA regular season title. Sophia Lemmer ‘16, a senior captain for the Storm from Rowayton, scored the winning goal to defeat FAA rival Convent of the Sacred Heart. The win gave the storm the same league record as Greenwich Academy, which resulted in a tie for the regular season title. The team looks to build on the success they have had this season in the FAA tournament, which begins for the Storm on November 11th. For more stories check out the Storm Blog
