V. Parker
On March 18, St. Luke’s Debate Team showed its strength with a first and third place win in the Connecticut Debate Association State Finals. Amelie Warneryd ‘20 and Marco Volpitta ‘20 won first place as a team in the novice division with Amelie also taking third place speaker. Bilal Memon ‘18 and Chloe Kekedjian ‘18 expertly debated in the varsity division. Debate coach Beth Yavenditti said, “This is a great accomplishment for our novice debaters in their first year of high school and we’re really proud of them.”

Congratulations to our St. Luke’s debaters for their success. Any student interested in participating in future debates should contact Captains Chloe Kekedjian or Bilal Memon for Upper School and Debate Coach Frank Henson for Middle School.
