Videos and photos of the Upper School a capella competition included
The winter blues melted away during St. Luke’s SLSing Off VI a capella competition. Six groups in total competed. First up were the two Chorus groups (9th & 10th grade), Drake and Josh Harper, followed by Vocal Point. Chorale (11th& 12th grade) had four groups participate this year, including Triple Threat, Tune Me On, Shirley Tempos, and Vocals ReChoired.

Excitement filled the air during the two standing-room-only performances in the Wyckoff Family Black Box Theater. In the end, only one Choir group, one Chorale group, and one Judges’ Wildcard selection will perform at the finals, which will take place on Tuesday, April 7, in the Seldin Performing Arts Center.
The three groups that will compete in the finals are Vocal Point (2020 Chorus winner), Triple Threat (2020 Chorale winner), and Vocal ReChoired (Judges’ Wildcard). Individual awards will be announced at the SLSing Off VI finals.
Special thanks to Upper School Music Chair Dale D. Griffa for coordinating the event and coaching the participating groups. Thank you also to SLSing Off VI judges Julia Gabriele, Maggie Lauer, Peter Valera, and Katie Kaplan, as well as to John Conners and Connor Rosow ‘20 for lighting.
