St. Luke’s Thursday tradition of Senior Tea with Mrs. Gabriele was stronger than ever as more than 40 members of the Class of 2020 participated this week. Some popped in and out, while others were there from start to finish.
Associate Head of School and Chief Financial Officer Julia Gabriele who started the weekly tea with seniors last year said, “It was such fun connecting with the students. I shared that many alumni were in touch and are thinking about our St. Luke’s seniors during this time. One alum in particular wanted me to let them know that while senior spring and all the events that come with it are a great and important part of the year, it is not what you remember most. It’s the relationships and the community ties that you remember the most. We all acknowledged the loss that seniors are feeling and promised to stay connected and keep this tradition going.”
As one senior shared during the tea, “You don’t know how much you love something until it’s not there anymore,” and another one added, “I miss and love you all!”
