Some Good News Meets SLS

V. Parker
From Sixth Grade History Teacher Samantha Gordon:

Actor John Krasinski recently launched Some Good News (SGN), a fictional news network dedicated to sharing positive, inspiring stories that are taking place around the globe during COVID-19. In my history classes, our first mini-project, coined "Some Good News Meets SLS," gives students the opportunity to share inspiring stories that are happening on a personal level (first-hand accounts) or at the local/community, national, or international levels. For the first few minutes of each class, we start with SGN Meets SLS, which is led by a different student each time. One of the things students miss most at this time is human connection and social interaction. This project captures the best of humanity and strengthens connections through the common theme of kindness.
