CFL Lunch & Lead Via Zoom With Health Economist Dr. Larry Bartlett

From Center for Leadership Director Kate Parker-Burgard:

It was months ago when we invited Dr. Larry Bartlett to our school for the Center for Leadership Lunch & Lead in early April. We could not have anticipated how timely it would be to have a health economist speak to our community at this time, especially as we gathered in our individual homes to participate in the first Zoom Lunch & Lead. For more than 40 years, Dr. Bartlett has been a leader in the public health sector, , where he has done extensive research, analysis, and work on health-care related matters. Presently, he is an adjunct professor at Columbia University. There were close to 30 students and faculty who populated the audience and listened to Dr. Bartlett share his story of how his career unfolded, with its unexpected turns. During the Q&A, there were, predictably, a number of questions about the impact of COVID-19 on our healthcare system and economy.
