St. Luke’s World Language Week 2020 Highlights

V. Parker
St. Luke’s World Language Chairs Jon Shee (US) and Susan Sarrazin (MS) knew the fun and games of World Language Week would have to be modified during St. Luke’s at Home. Ms. Sarrazin shared some of the highlights from this year’s remote activities:

While we missed not being able to celebrate together at school, this year we had the opportunity to share with more people and to do the activities throughout the day, instead of at a set time. It was exciting to see how many in our St. Luke’s community participated in this year’s World Language Week activities, from making videos and cooking to watching and voting on what was created. Our TikTok activity proved that people were active in either creating or watching the videos (as one submission got more than 1100 views). One cool thing I learned was that Tasia [Courts] can dance! It was pretty cool to see my colleagues’ and students’ submissions, even though we weren’t together physically.

You can read about all the different activities that happened during the St. Luke’s World Language Week including seeing the delicious ethnic food made and the TikTok video entries.
