Kate Parker-Burgard Named Visiting Scholar

V. Parker
St. Luke’s Center for Leadership Kate Parker-Burgard has been named a 2020-2021 Visiting Scholar for the CSEE (Center for Spiritual and Ethical Education).

As shared in the CSEE newsletter: “During this time in which there is so much to be concerned about, it is a bright spot to announce CSEE's 2020-21 Visiting Scholars. If you are not familiar with our Visiting Scholar Program, each year three talented independent school educators join the CSEE team while remaining at their schools. Their job will be to share their expertise with our entire CSEE community over the course of the academic year.”

According to the CSEE website, its vision and mission are the following:

Vision—A future where independent schools are distinguished by graduates who understand that ethics and character are essential elements of decision making, leadership, and a purposeful life.

Mission—CSEE empowers independent schools, through a network of educators who provide expert support, to inspire ethical thinking, a sense of purpose, and a commitment to building character while advancing the values of empathy, service, equity, and justice.

Parker-Burgard will begin her term as a visiting scholar for this nonprofit on July 1.
