Congratulations to all our students, teachers, coaches, and families on a tremendous year. In case you missed it, a recap of our Upper School athletic awards was posted last week.
Alongside celebrating our Upper School program, a big shout-out to all our Middle School student-athletes and coaches. Our Middle School participation was outstanding, with so many positive touch points throughout the fall and winter seasons. Across our full program, we pivoted to a distance model this spring, with no in-person activities, and focused on individual fitness and team-building connections.
As we head into the summer months, there is still much to be determined related to our fall athletic program. We will follow all state and local government guidelines closely, and work to align our athletics program with the academic schedule that works best for our students and community. We will share information on schedules as it becomes available, which will require continued adjustments as these uncertain times continue to unfold. Thanks in advance for your patience as we gear up for another fantastic year of Storm athletics.
Important Dates:
Monday, July 27th – Update on the schedule for Upper School preseason athletics
Monday, August 17th – Planned first day of Upper School athletic preseason
Tuesday, September 8th – Planned first day of Middle School athletics
As we prepare for the fall, you will hear directly from a member of our wonderful athletic training staff, Ms. Nicole Guido or Ms. Anna Knechtel, regarding any expiring physicals.
Our goal is to have as robust an on-campus athletics program as we can safely offer. That is our commitment to you and the entire SLS athletic community. For the time being, be healthy and take care of yourself, your families, and your communities. Have a wonderful start to the summer.
