Epic of Gilgamesh Video Game

SLS
Collaborators: Mrs. Abby Abbott
Grade Level: 9th Grade
Class: Foundations of World History

After reading the Epic of Gilgamesh, students created a simple, Mario-style video game, using the app Bloxels. The students were instructed that the video game must be a creative interpretation of two scenes from the epic. After students completed the game, they were tasked with recording themselves completing a play-through and then overlaying an audio track to describe how their creation ties into the plot and themes within the epic.
