St. Luke’s Community Smashes School Record on #SLSGivingTuesday

SA
On Tuesday, Dec. 1, the St. Luke’s community came together to make history. Trustees, parents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty, and staff made pledges and gifts online, by email, and over the phone to help us exceed our goal of “$100K in a Day” during our one-day #SLSGivingTuesday event.

Together, we raised more than $360,000 in gifts and pledges from 187 individuals – shattering the school’s prior Giving Tuesday record. #SLSGivingTuesday was a smashing success!

Generous challenge grants galvanized the St. Luke’s community to participate in record numbers. Special thanks to the Adams family (P’24,’26), Staikos family (P’22,’24,’27), and Bob Salomon '55 for starting our one-day giving event with a $50,000 match challenge. Early in the afternoon, we were taken by surprise by a fourth (anonymous) donor who came forward with an additional $25,000 challenge.

St. Luke’s Director of Development Jon Jodka P'14, '16, '20 commented, “We were thrilled to see the community come together with such a broad base of support, showcasing our school’s long-standing culture of philanthropy. It was a great day for St. Luke’s.”

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible.
