St. Luke’s Celebrates Class of 2024 College-Bound Athletes

St. Luke’s is proud to announce that 17 student-athletes from the Class of 2024 will compete in their chosen sports at the collegiate level. This number represents approximately 20% of the graduating class, well above the national average of high school athletes who go on to play a varsity sport in college (7%). The St. Luke’s athletes recruited to play in college will compete across ten sports in Division 1 and Division 3 schools.

The collegiate athletes are:

Tad Fleuette (Football - Franklin and Marshall College)
Paul Genna (Baseball - Gettysburg College)
Marcues Jean-Jacques (Football -  West Virginia State University)
Chas Jones (Swimming -  Washington University)
Nihaal Kochar (Cricket -  Haverford College)
Aurora Levesque (Softball - Springfield College)
MJ Owens (Field Hockey - Mt. Holyoke College)
Sienna Pilla (Equestrian - University of Georgia)
Chad Ruggiero (Golf - Colgate University)
Kaya Weiskopf (Basketball -  Central Connecticut State University)

The student-athletes were celebrated at the St. Luke’s Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 28. At the awards ceremony, Athletic Director Anna Knechtel commented on the dedication and leadership skills of the honorees.
