Celebrating the Stars of St. Luke's School Theater Department: 17th Annual Thespian Awards

VTO
On Tuesday, May 23, the St. Luke's School Theater Arts Department hosted the 17th Annual Thespian Awards, fondly known as "The Thespies." The event celebrates the exceptional talent and dedication of the cast and crew involved in this year's theater productions. It was an afternoon of celebration, gratitude, heartfelt farewells, and recognition of outstanding achievements.

During the ceremony, the St. Luke's Theater community bid farewell to our seniors and honored Magistrum Mahler, our esteemed Middle School Theater Director, for their invaluable guidance and mentorship to countless students over the years.

One of the highlights of the evening was introducing a new honor, the "Above and Beyond" Award, designed to recognize students for their “lifetime achievement” in SLS Theater between grades five and 12. The inaugural award recognized senior Joe Derr, who has participated in 22 of the 24 SLS theater productions since he started at St. Luke’s as a fifth grade student.
