Spirited Second Half Seals Boys Varsity Basketball Win

Kevin Florio ’15 wrestled down the rebound and rocketed a pass to a streaking Walter Whyte ’17, who deposited a graceful right-handed layup. After a successful free throw—fouls quickly became the theme of the night—the previously dormant St. Luke’s home crowd vocalized what the scoreboard displayed: a 43-42 St. Luke’s lead with 5:55 to play in the second half. It was the Storm’s first lead of the night, one they would carry to an inspired 59-55 come-from-behind win.
