Celebrating Dr. King’s Legacy Through Sports

In celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, it can be tempting to celebrate his life in whatever expedient manner fits a convenient narrative. Yesterday, the Seattle Seahawks were criticized for posting Dr. King’s words overlaid on an image of a crying Russell Wilson, taken after the team defeated the Packers to advance to the Super Bowl.
