Dr. Bramlett Speaks at NAIS

nbt
The National Association of Independent Schools invited Dr. Bramlett to speak at its annual conference which attracted 5,500 education professionals.
Dr. Stephanie Bramlett, Director of Diversity, presented at the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Conference last month. Bramlett co-presented with her husband Dan Budak, a PhD candidate, re: "Why PhDs are Leaving the University and How to Get Them into Independent Schools."

According to Bramlett, the session was sparked out of sheer curiosity and the desire to investigate a phenomenon she and her husband have observed in their own community: "More and more of our friends are looking for employment at independent schools because they’ve become increasingly disenchanted with universities. Independent schools are a wonderful career choice for experienced educators who are knowledgeable in their disciplines and passionate about shepherding the academic, social, and emotional development of young people. It was an honor that NAIS agreed this was a conversation worth having."
