Tragic Loss of Ryan Adams '15

Words cannot express this community's grief over the loss of Ryan Adams '15.

Ryan came to St. Luke’s School in eighth grade and graduated in June 2015. He earned distinction as a St. Luke's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Scholar. He was known for his kindness and exceptionally positive outlook on life.

Ryan, an Eagle Scout by the age of 13, was Vice-President of St. Luke’s Investment Club, and President of St. Luke’s chapter of Support Our Soldiers. As President, Ryan wrote the club’s mission. His words reflect his concern for others and his commitment to making the world a better place: "Support Our Soldier's primary goal is to help vets returning from deployment in any way possible. We want students to walk away from each meeting with a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made to preserve our freedom and in addition to our various service projects, we will be discussing the sacrifices made during meetings. We want our club members to enjoy the club while benefiting men and women who really deserve our help."

Head of School Mark Davis called Ryan "one of the finest young men I have ever had the pleasure to know." Davis shared this letter with the School community.
