The Teddy Balkind Memorial Scholarship Fund

St. Luke’s School is honored to announce that close friends and family of Teddy Balkind have come together to establish The Teddy Balkind Memorial Scholarship Fund as a tribute to the memory of Teddy Balkind, SLS ’24, beloved son of Leslie and Buck Balkind and brother of Karey Balkind, SLS ‘22.

About the Fund

This need-based, financial aid scholarship, established in loving memory of Teddy, will be awarded to an incoming St. Luke’s student who is remarkably kind and joyful and who pursues a personal interest with uncommon passion, characteristics that represent the light that Teddy was to all those who knew him.

The Fund began with a gift of $100,000 and has already started receiving additional contributions from St. Luke’s students, parents, and friends as news of this touching tribute has begun to spread. Gifts to the scholarship fund will be treated as a permanently restricted endowment, honoring Teddy and benefitting recipients in perpetuity.

Thank you for your generous support.
